The Fast & instant world of Fast food

Today everybody is trapped by ‘instant-mania’. Everyone wants every thing on tip of the hands of clock. In this world of busy bees every small and large, worst & best, living-nonliving thing has got speed, all in different and in some specific manner. Everything is prefixed by words- instant, fast, quick, rapid, immediate, urgent, direct. Even the food, which is one of our basic requirements, has got a prefix- ‘Fast’.

There is no need to explain the meaning of the word ‘Fast-Food’ or to specify the things coming under his type of food as everyone is very-well aware of this. Today moving with the wheels of time every elder and older one is enjoying this ‘Fast-food’.

This food is most common among the youngsters these days. It was the most popular food amid the children in United State previously, but it has become famous and favorite throughout the whole world very rapidly. Right from the 2 year kid to the 60 years old granny enjoy this delicious and affordable food as today it’s just a phone call away from our tongue any time in a whole day, which makes this affordable for our precious time. Consumption of fast-food is highly prevalent in both genders, all racial or ethnic groups, and all regions of the country. This shows that not any class or age group or region is untouched by this health evil called Fast-food.

Though this food is good for our time and tongue, is not good for our health. It is not nutritionally balanced and hence unhealthy when consumed frequently in the long run. This kind of food is loaded with colossal amount of calories as contain refined sugar & fats and is also very high in sodium. Except all these, this food is poor in dietary fiber and essential nutrients like vitamins and minerals.

On the top of all above drawbacks one more thing is there to add in the list, is that this delicious but unhealthy food is a kind of additive, on which one get hooked and keeps consuming in an uncontrolled way in spite of knowing its hazards for our health. All this makes us difficult, to go for the healthy food, according to the researches conducted regarding the effects of Fast Food. The researches also tell that fast food endorse positive energy balance into us, which results in the weight gain and gifts us obesity.

The high amount of sodium present in most of these foods increases the risks of high blood pressure and also leads to build up the body-fluids in case of people who are suffering from congestive heart failure, kidney diseases. Along with all this, the variety of dishes or stuffs comes under this type Fast food cause many health hazards among adults as well as children.
